I couldn't preorder a day one PS4 through amazon.ca, (not taking preorders yet) and the shipping cost from amazon.com were kinda high.
Thankfully EBgames called me to confirm my reserved copy of the last of us and told me they were taking day one preorders. Hell yeah!
And I thought this rumor or speculation could have been clever :

This article explains that with the no used game market on xbox one, microsoft could in theory reduce the MSRP of games since it's confident sales would always be firsthand.
Dmarc:
Who knows, maybe the PS4 is at for example, 500 000 preorders, and the X one only at 100 000 then the Ps4 (non day one delivery) would be at 80 000. There could be a great distance between both positions.
Cupid Viper 3
It does make a lot of sense the reduced price tag. and frankly, going in a store and seeing all those games priced at 45$, for example is appealing.
It's not written in the electronics department that PS+ offers 12 free games a year with some other goodies and if it is, it's kinda hidden.
But I'm still against Xb one's policies.
I've always thought : open your arms to your customers and they'll come, not string them with handcuffs and hope they'll give into your business.
The worst is that MS seems to be getting away with it thanks to misinformation.
is there really an official abbreviation. Besides on XBL on demand, it was called Xbox original.
I assume people preorder the console because it's the next xbox, that's it. They aren't fully informed of the actual console and its restrictions. I know 2 people who where interested in the XB1 but when I told them about its design and the way you'll play games, they both jumped ship.
Even if MS is right and Azure works wonders. it's not a neat advantage. I mean Sony has a cloud service too, who knew!?
Their argument is invalid.
I read many MS claims this week being totally all show no go.
and that PR fiasco contradicting everyone one another among top executive people, what the hell!
Dude, the guy is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 producer! He should present the PS4.
Imagine if Sony announces the controller being available earlier for PS3 owners, since it's a bluetooth connectivity to get used to it before the ps4's launch.
LOL at the you had one job!
I just actually tweeted with him about design ideas. and he answered back. I thought I could ask him on how to get a gamer's idea in SCE's hands.
alright, aluminium/piano black plexiglass design with the possibility of hanging it to a wall, complete with a green and blue line for power and BD indicator, now that would be crazy.
I don't even get this problem. I originaly got the first borderlands free in september and I bought the bundle this week-end with no hassle. I don't see the problem.
Yeah, the PS1, the way it sounded when the triangles resized in the square, showing SCEA. Then the way the PS logo (why did sony remove the colors :'( ???? ) appeared with that soothing effect. you felt overpowered.
well the thing is that the raving rabbids games are developped in ubisoft france, and other shovelware.
while ubi montreal is known for AC, Watchdogs, anything Tom Clancy. But I agree that AC is getting on my nerves.
What the hell is about those critics, we can start a new gen, clean slate, fresh off the "grey" shooters and Knack is criticized for not being like this. I want next gen to be focused on fun to play experience, not just hyper realistic guns and hair, and everything. Gaming is about doing impossible things in life, not just merely recreating it.
What I find even funnier, is that people will defend story oriented games or gameplay before graphics. Then When some see that "apparently" some next-gen games will not run 60fps, they're up in arms against the move.
it's not the tool that makes the artist.
Stop whining about technical issues and worry about actual games that aren't forgettable.
60fps is overplayed seriouly like the game
"which pushes the console to its limits".
it's maybe even an artistic decision. Honestly playing a slow paced game at 60fps is a pain.
let's say they create a rock solid 30fps game with no single screen tearing and framedrop, I'd be satisifed.
I'd rather drive an Acura NSX which is reliable as hell compared to a Ferrari, while is faster, always needs servicing.
I think EA got rid of the online passes because top execs knew about the Xbox one's DRM policies.
